Anthony Hopkins rumored to play Odin in Thor

Before this rumor go’s any further I’m here to stop it. It has been established that Brain Blessed will play Odin in the new “Thor” movie, some guy’s over at Heat Vision Blog are reporting Anthony Hopkins is in negotiation to star as the father of the thunder god. First lets state the obvious, they don’t reference any sources for there story. Second, IMDB doesn’t have Anthony Hopkins rumored to be in the cast (they are the authority on movies most of the time). I’m sorry, Anthony Hopkins is a great actor, but this is the role Blessed was born to play.

 

It’s great that some many A-Lister’s are jumping on board for “Thor”, but just just because your famous and recognizable doesn’t mean your right for a role. Thor already has Chris Hemsworth as the god of thunder Thor, Tom Hiddleston as his evil brother Loki, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Colm Feore, and rumored Robert De Niro and Jude Law. I hope Marvel doesn’t get so star struck that they forget to make a great movie.
