Here’s some news that’s not exactly movie related but has to do with one of the most original Hollywood directors out there. That director is Kevin Smith and the other day he was kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight for being a little too portly. For those of you who don’t know the word portly it means FAT.

Smith, who is not skinny, but not orca fat either was thrown off the fight because they were full and deemed to large for one seat. He normally buys a second seat but couldn’t because there were none left. Southwest, known as the low budget airline, later apologized for the misunderstanding and did what they could so not to look so much like a douche to the public.

What Southwest didn’t understand is that by kicking Smith off the airline; they were inviting a slathering of put downs, bad press, and mockery. Smith has the largest Fanboy following of any director out there. To insult him you might as well hide under a rock for the next six months or be ready to face the borage of angst ridden fans that are more then willing to defend Smith.    

Shortly after the event Smith took to tweeting and making a hilarious podcast about the situation.
